I am an incoming assistant professor in the Department of Communication at Augusta University—go jaguars! My research is guided by the general question: How do different factors including trust (in authority figures, experts, institutions), beliefs, and cognitive biases shape our engagement with and understanding of information across contexts? Most recently, I have been investigating the boundary conditions of source credibility particularly in highly information-saturated online environments. I earned my PhD in Media, Technology, and Society from Northwestern University, my MA in Communication from The University at Buffalo, and my BA in Psychology from SUNY Geneseo.
